FROM ASHES TO ART SHOWS (15)

I’m just six numbers shy of winning the lottery!

While luck is not on my side when it comes to the Powerball, I feel like I’m the wealthiest person on Earth. Having a tribe of friends and family to help realize this life-long dream is priceless.

Now I want to give my son everything in the world, and my pride wants me to be able to do it all on my own… but this thing, this wild dream of a gallery show in London, is a huge stretch for me. Kids aren’t cheap to begin with, and a trip to London is crazy expensive. I truly believe it’s going to happen… “how” is going to be changing by the minute.

Thank you to all of those who donated money. I’m grateful for all the orders of new pet portraits. $1,500 is nothing to balk at. In fact, it’s already helped to secure my place in the gallery (some artists scoff at the idea of paying for gallery space, but this is getting me to London, so there!)

The $10,000 goal sometimes seems like a lot, and other times seems like too little. Have you seen hotel rates lately????

Plus, there’s this little caveat where my son only wants to go if a friend can join us (parents are boring, after all). I know they would both have an experience of a lifetime, so I’m in favor of it. It’s just getting their parents to agree and contribute to the trip is just another “thing” to overcome.

My son and I are going regardless. That’s the minimum dream. Everything else is just icing.

Yet in order to achieve this, I must remain flexible. If I can’t raise the total amount (or no friend can join us) I may cut the trip down to a week. Opening Night, and being together in London, is the dream. Details are just pieces of the puzzle to move around until they fit.

And I’m open to thinking outside the box to make this more affordable…

If you have mileage points, or friends with space in London, that would be as good as gold to us.

Or if you have any last-minute Christmas gifts you need to pick up, consider one of my books, prints, calendars, originals, or commission of a pet portrait.

Or if all you got are thoughts and prayers, I’ll take that too.

I not only believe in miracles, I rely on them.

Love All Ways Always!

I’m going to England in April 2023 to show my art in a gallery. I want to show this kid the world. Please help make this dream come true. Every little bit helps. https://gofund.me/f6cfc391
